As an intern at Paper Magazine, I designed the layout for several magazine stories and editorials. I created original artwork for several pieces, including the opening spreads to “The United States of Cannabis” and “Going, Going, Gone”.

I brainstormed concepts, created mood boards, and researched visuals for the magazine features. I also built style sheets and templates in InDesign for the magazine’s recent rebrand, defining the structure and brand system in place, under the direction of Chad McCabe.

Cultural Sushi—New York nightlife, served hot.

The Coolest People In The Room is a recent rebirth of the reoccurring column Cultural Sushi, a staple of the magazine since its beginnings in the 80’s. After studying decades of archived issues, the product became homage to the loose, art-punk collage style that emphasized New York nightlife.
